This study investigates innovation strategies within Arab tourism institutions, with a particular focus on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a leading regional and global model. Drawing on a descriptive–analytical framework and a case study approach, the research examines how innovation contributes to competitiveness, sustainability, and economic diversification in the tourism sector. The study highlights different forms of innovation—including technological, organizational, and marketing innovations—while assessing the UAE’s pioneering initiatives such as digital transformation, smart platforms, and sustainable tourism practices. Findings reveal that the UAE has successfully leveraged large-scale projects, strategic policies, and public–private partnerships to strengthen its position as a global tourism hub. At the same time, the study identifies critical challenges facing Arab tourism, including geopolitical instability, limited human capital development, weak digital marketing, and climate-related risks. The research concludes with recommendations that other Arab countries can adopt to enhance tourism competitiveness through innovation.
